PROJECT OVERVIEW

Barwon heads Road, Connewarre

An interesting application to subdivide the existing house from the remainder of the land that went under a Trust for Nature covenant. The site is adjunct to the Lake Connewarre (Ramsar site) and majority of the site has low ponds with riparian and native grasses. The covenant then required a small ‘dwelling’ to facilitate somewhere for the people that work on the regeneration and management somewhere to stay. Often students studying Conservation and Land Management participate in works on site as part of their required work experience. Areas on site that have no native vegetation will continue to be farmed alongside conservation for biodiversity.
